Program Overview

HigherSelf requests $40,000 from OVPTR through the Brick City Peace Collective to expand proven youth mentoring with arts programming and scaled technology programming at The 7 Space. Building on $345,000 in completed OVPTR grants and a 100% summer program return rate.

Core Academic Mentoring

Existing, Strengthened

One-on-one and small group academic support, career exploration, life skills, and family engagement. Expert-led, cohort-based (8–10 youth per cohort).

Recently Funded, Expanding

Coding (Python, web dev), digital literacy, industry certifications, gamified training (MetroPower/IEC), project-based learning. 30 new youth.

Visual arts, digital media, functional art builds, gallery exhibitions at The 7 Space, portfolio development, cultural programming. 25 new youth.
